A tank transporter is a specialised road vehicle towing a low-bed trailer for the relocation of tanks and heavy armoured vehicles. Such units are utilised to limit the mileage of the tracked vehicles and also to reduce wear on road surfaces. Tank transporters also consume less fuel than tracked vehicles and may have a higher road speed if roads are in good condition.
